Background

MOON UltraLight is a portable lighting device created to illuminate the side of your mobile device that doesn’t have a built-in light. the brand tasked HNY to aid in their official launch with a comprehensive visual strategy and execution. a thorough product launch for moon required both high-end studio production as well as lifestyle & editorial visuals.

 
 

Vision

With an incredibly small device and unique functional properties like adjustable brightness & color temperatures, HNY was faced with the challenge of capturing the aesthetic & practical properties of the product.

For their launch, moon asked a series of photoshoots ranging from lifestyle & editorial to studio & product photography. a diversity in angles, locations, & auxiliary products was essential. we devised a conceptual identity to the brand in the form of visual creative direction.

We defined moon’s visual identity with the following keywords:
sleek, | cool | intuitive | smart | fashionable | modern | beautiful


Strategy

The brand had previous issues finding photographers who could capture their stylistic needs. the unique nature of the product made it mandatory to capture visuals at night and in the early evening to convey its functional properties.

For their website, we needed to produce before & after shots of people taking a selfie with normal light and then with the product’s light. moreover, we wanted to also represent the various color hues built into the light.

The result of seven unique photoshoots was a holistic visual identity and presence to Moon’s product and brand launch.
