In less than a decade, Ecuadorian born and New York raised Erick Urgiles, better known as Erick Hercules, has pioneered viral photo techniques that have redefined the footwear, fashion, tech, commercial, and architectural photography. In turn, his work has transcended into fine art and pop culture alongside some of the world’s best brands and personalities.
His portfolio includes brands like Nike, Puma, MCM, Swatch, & Diesel, and artists like DJ Khaled, Erykah Badu, Steve Aoki & the Hamilton Cast on Broadway. His work has been viewed in Hollywood blockbuster movies and Netflix documentaries, showcased on global billboards and flagship stores, auctioned and sold at places like the Guggenheim Museum, published in magazines like VOGUE, Elle, Rolling Stone, HYPEBEAST, Highsnobiety, & Forbes.
His photography has inspired the new generation of photographers to capture moments without photoshop, spearheading new techniques focused on surrealism within reality. In 2013, Erick began the “#WeLevitate” movement, a community of the best levitation photographers & dancers in the world.
Currently, Erick is a Sony Alpha Ambassador, and educator for the next generation of creatives. He currently leads his own visual and strategy agency, Hercules New York, leading award winning Creative Direction and Strategy for brands like Red Bull and HBO.
As an advocate, Erick was the Secretary General of the Influencer Council Of America where he led creative-first conversation directly with digital platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok & Snapchat. He has also served as a World of Dance contributor and community advisor.
Erick is a sought after speaker who has appeared on leadership panels at American Colleges and Universities and has consulted on community-forward initiatives for NGO’s within the United Nations and the White House.
Erick is a retired professional opera singer with a career spanning 12 years, having performed in distinguished places such as Lincoln Center, Radio City, Carnegie hall, and Madison Square Garden, all before turning 16 years of age.
Erick Graduated as a vocal Major from Laguardia High school For Music and Arts & Performing Arts.
